Inside the Collection

The Tennessee Civil War Sourcebook provides a very broad view of life and events transpiring within Tennessee from January 1861 through September 1865. Sources for these events include official records, letters, diaries and newspapers from the era.

The articles in this collection are available as individual PDF documents, requiring the Adobe Acrobat Reader. They are accessible through the same Google technology that is available to search the World Wide Web. Each word or combination of words in the various texts can be searched, and brought up for viewing, based on the text content of the individual documents. Therefore, there is no topical, or article-by-article listing available, just as there is none with the web.
